We are in unprecedented times and our restaurants and local shops need our support now more than ever. While we cannot be together in person, we want to help our incredible wine and food community in Des Moines and keep them as busy as we can. So, we bring to you, Virtual Wine Flights. 

This one will be a little different. Here’s the deal – Winefest has partnered with the Cheese Shop and two ICONIC producers – Eric Sussman, winegrower and proprietor of Radio-Coteau wines and Mateo Kehler, one of the founding brothers of the Cellars of Jasper Hillto bring you a wine and cheese class – all while social distancing. Stop by the Cheese Shop on Friday, June 19thor Saturday, June 20thand get ready for an awesome Zoom discussion at 6:00 pm on Monday, June 22ndat 6:00 pm..

Order here, pickup on June 19th or 20th and on Monday, June 22nd join us for a private Zoom class with Eric Sussman, winegrower and proprietor of Radio-Coteau wines (zooming in from Sonoma County!) and Mateo Kehler, one of the founding brothers of the Cellars of Jasper Hill. CJ Bienert, owner of the Cheese Shop, will be moderating. You will only be able to see this class if you purchase this flight!

Make sure you set up the Zoom app on your phone, tablet, or computer. (Tech-challenged? Here’s a handy little tutorial.) Please test this well in advance of the class, so you don’t miss anything.The private video conferencing link to the June 22ndclass will be provided in a separate email sent the day of the tasting.

Log in by clicking on the Zoom link we will send you. The session will open at 6 p.m. so you can get settled (and drinking wine) — and figure out all of the techie stuff. The actual class starts at 6:30 p.m.

This is a ONE DAY ONLY EVENT WITH THE CHEESE SHOP! We expect a sell-out, so grab yours quickly before they are all gone! Pickup on June 19th or 20th between 10:00 am – 5:00 pm at The Cheese Shop – 833 42nd Street, Suite B.
